Q1: Where is the company name Asahi Rubber derived from?
Answer:
Asahi Rubber was named after our dream to grow like the rising sun over the ocean. Moreover, since it starts with the first letter in the Japanese alphabet, the name also has the advantage of appearing earlier and being more conspicuous on company lists written in Japanese alphabetical order.
Q2: Where is the company logo derived from?
Answer:
It was designed based on a combination of the company name, “the rising sun” and the letter “a.” The “a” part expresses waves of the vast ocean, and the color of the logo is passionate red associated with the rising sun.
Q3: Why is your plant located in Fukushima Prefecture, while the headquarters is based in Saitama Prefecture?
Answer:
When the company was established, it leased a factory in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture. However, wishing to construct the company’s own plant, our founder, President Itoh, recommended the present Izumizakimura Industrial Complex close to his hometown of Motomiya City, Fukushima Prefecture.
