Conversion of light from bullet-type LEDs into diffuse light

Improved visibility of indicators and other display devices

LEDs with strong directional characteristics can be seen well from the front, but visibility from the side is not good, so light diffusion caps are used.

There is an example of the use of the better side directional side for illumination.

Directional mitigation of projectile-type LEDs

It is also used to extend the light beam range of bullet-type LEDs.

Dimming and shading of LEDs
