■What is molecular adhesion technology?

Molecular adhesion technology is the means for providing a strong adhesion between rubber and various other materials such as metal, resin, ceramics, glass, and different kinds of rubber.
Using an adhesion surface treatment and heat/pressure during application, this technology provides a strong adhesion without requiring high-density adhesives or high temperature/high pressure application as with conventional adhesion processes.

[Features of molecular adhesion]
  1. Application of high-density adhesive is not required.
  2. Molecular adhesion technology enables sealing with a film of molecular order such that the ultra-fine grooves that have been etched on a glass or resin surface are sealed without being filled.
  3. Unlike heat sealing with plastics, molecular adhesion is conducted at a temperature that does not exceed the melting point of the target materials, thus reducing the risk of deformation.
  4. Molecular adhesion technology enables adhesion between difficult-to-adhere plastics and silicone rubber.
